HTTP listener

Occasionally our DT85 will reset and we'll lose about 7 minutes of data. This shows up on the event log at the time of the data loss:

EVENT ,2014/10/16,12:27:21,0.755615,"No HTTP listener running: restarting"
EVENT ,2014/10/16,12:27:24,0.937377,"Reset 9.10.4890 PLL/WDOG/DEBUG (c860400d)"

I was told that the 9.14 firmware was buggy, therefore I downgraded the firmware to 9.10 thinking that this would solve the problem. Alas, the DT is still resetting. What else might cause this problem?

Thank you

Hi Mike,

That is watchdog feature, monitoring TCP stack in the logger. If all the stacks are used, dataTaker will assume stack release action failed to perform thus reset the logger. Resetting the logger will automatically release TCP stacks.

You may disable it using the following profile command:
PROFILE HTTP_SERVER ENABLE_WDG=NO
However if you disable it and all of the stacks are occupied, you will not be able to access dataTaker.

There should be an additional reason the logger loses data after reset. If you can send me detailed service log, I can try to check combination of profile setting and your program also decipher the error log.

Best regards,
Rudy Gunawan
