External HMI configuration for DT85G measurement display

Dear Sir,

we are using DT85G for measurement of various sensors such as vibrating wire type stress capsules, loadcells, potentiometric sensors, voltage and 4 to 20mA current loop sensors. entire set up will be installed in mine for data logging ( continuous monitoring). we need to configure a HMI panel to display all the measurements, alarms etc. we are using HMI of Kinco Electric ( Model MT4512TE) for this purpose.

pl guide me how to configure this HMI with DT85G so that it can display all the measurements, alarms etc. for easy monitoring of sensors. pl also let me know the communication interface as well ( such as RS232, USB or Ethernet).

regards,

Hi gpradipta,

That HMI device has SERIAL interface so you should focus on SERIAL string input format to be able to display the data correctly.
In dataTaker, convert the measurement data and use SERIAL parsing code to recreate string according to the above SERIAL format.

If you can attach MT4512TE manual, I can help you with some example.

Best regards,
Rudy Gunawan

Dear Sir,

Thanks for your reply.
can you give me some more details on this serial data parsing.
following is the link for bellow manual I have got.

"Kinco HMI communication connection guide"

Hi gpradipta,

That document shows MODBUS RTU and MODBUS TCP/IP communication (not a normal SERIAL), therefore you do not need to use SERIAL parsing.
Please refer to section 4.50 MODBUS of that manual about how to set Kimco HMI as a MODBUS master or slave.

Best regards,
Rudy
