-30 = communications queue is full ??

I'm talking to a DT85 programmatically via TCP via csharp & Windows 7. I send a COPYD command to the DT85.

Then I send a 29SV to see if the CopyD is complete, & if so, I then fetch the file. I do this on a timed basis.

This usually works very well. However, after running for awhile, the 29SV starts returning code= -30 = communications queue is full

I can't find anything in the manual that explains what this condition means, why it occurs or more importantly, how I can reset/command what ever in order to get out of the condition.

Any help on -30 would be appreciated

thanx
Bob

Good morning Bob,

In Version 9 firmware we introduced an automated retry system controlled by the firmware.

When the CopyD command unload the data it is now queued and sent in the back ground. If the data transmission fails the logger will retry the sending as per the profile settings. Any further unloads are added to the queue and sent when possible.

Communication queue
-30 Unload output file could not be queued for transmission because communications session queue is full

In the event log you will see a number of error messages recorded when the data transfer has failed.
I recommend you look at the event log and correct the network problems.

Cheers
Roger
