Session Queues

Hello Sir/Mad,

I have a problem about FTP unload data files. Sometime Data is not successfully transferred to the FTP server. There was a problem connecting to the FTP server. When FTP server is connected well again, old data is missed ( it didn't send to FTP server; The data need to be manually recovered by using dEX web interface " retrieve data" function), new data is not also transfered. i have to use the session clear command to solve it
How to transfer data without using the SESSION CLEAR command when FTP server work well again ?
( I am not sure that i use Profile unload FTP_Retries = ??? command in this case)

Thank you
thuyvan

Hi thuyvan,

When there is a problem in FTP transfer data will be stored inside UNLOAD folder up to 12 files.
And when the network is recovered, data file will be sent, unless if dataTaker choose to abandon that file due to some failure.

In your case, I believe creating a specific time frame is better rather than using start=new.
By using specific time frame, you can create start=ddmmyyyThhmmss by detecting whether the session is full or not (29SV=-30).

If 29SV=-30 then you can change the interval of FTP transfer (for longer period) as well as recording the time stamp (for later use when network is recovered).

Best regards,
Rudy Gunawan

Hello Rudy,

Thanks for your information.
I have a problem that when UNLOAD forder stored 12 files - FTP Data Queue (12/12), the network is recovered, data file will not be sent. I have to SESSION CLEAR command then data file is send
I wish that when network is recovered , data file will be sent automatic without using SESSION CLEAR command.

Best regards,
thuyvan
