Additional I/O - Adam module

Hi,

I'm trying to connect an ADAM's module via the serial sensor channel and am failing. I get a time out error 20 state. Any suggestions?

Good morning Blu,

The dataTaker is timing out which means it is not seeing the incoming message. Things to check:

  1. Wiring. Make sure you have grounds connected and the correct wiring for the communications type.

  2. Are you receiving data? I find this part easier to do with DeTransfer but you can use DeLoggers text window.
Send P56=63 to the dataTaker. This turns on the debug tools and you will see the incoming and out going data. Does it match what you are expecting? Are the buffers being cleared as expected?

Cheers,
Roger

Hi All,

Just a quick note to say this is working. It was an addressing problem. The modules were address 1 not address 0 and the ADAM user manual stated.

Cheers,
Roger
