I am sorry if the question appears too newbie... With MODBUS/ RS485 compliance, does it mean that I can configure the following...
Scenario:
SENSORS 3 x load cell with MODBUS re-transmitter 4 x displacement transducer, direct connection 1 x measurement system with serial output, re-transmitted via MODBUS.
Basically, these are my current problems: Load cells are connected to a digital display unit that re-transmit in 4-20mA signal, read by a DT50. Because of the multiple translation, the displayed load is not same as what is logged on the DT50.
A digital output from the display unit read by the DT80 should fix the problem. I have a measurement device that outputs in serial mode, but the DT50 cannot read that. MODBUS should fix that too. I suppose I should wire the 2 re-transmitter in series under RS485 protocol and then connect that to the DT80.
Howzat?
