How long will it log for?

DT80 series 3 that I have partitioned 80 MB for the logged data.

I am recording two parameters (4-20 mA) with outputs similar to "14.325" twice per second, plus timestamp of course.

I have set the datalogger to stop when full.

How long will it log for?

Cheers

Hi Grant,

For 2 parameters at 500 ms sampling rate (4 values/ seconds), it is expected to have approximate 5.6 MB per day.
That number is based on CSV format data file, however as dataTaker save data as DBD format it will reduce memory space much further to approximate 3.5 - 3.6 MB per day.

Therefore if you assign 80 MB of memory, it will last for minimum 2 weeks up to 3 weeks.

Fabulous, I have looked everywhere in the manual for something about this.

Hi Grant,

You can set the schedules to store data for a period of time (days, minutes, seconds etc.)
If you set up your schedule and send the code to the logger the dataTaker will return an error message if the data is too large for the available memory.

Cheers
