Issue on P28 setting

Hello,

I have a number of DT80's i am setting up to be deployed on class 8 trucks. I am trying to set parameter P28=3 for the modem (Enfora) to get power from the logger and stay on when it sleeps.

But P28 does not exist on my DT80:

P28 dataTaker 80 E8 - Parameter read/set error at column 4 [ P28<err> ]
DT80> PROFILE "PARAMETERS" [PARAMETERS]
P0 = 3
P3 = 1500
P4 = 800
P6 = 1
P8 = 0
P9 = 1
P11 = 50
P14 = 600
P15 = 1
P16 = 0
P17 = 30
P18 = 3
P19 = 255
P20 = 2
P21 = 0
P22 = 32
P24 = 13
P26 = 60
P27 = 0
P31 = 1
P32 = 8
P33 = 0
P36 = 0
P38 = 46
P39 = 0
P40 = 58
P41 = 3
P45 = 0
P50 = 0
P51 = 0
P53 = 10
P55 = 16383
P56 = 0
P62 = 0

According to the manual P28 is 12V supply control parameters, since i have a version 2 and firmware 7.02 what is the problem?

Cheers,
Victor

P28 was first implemented with version 7.04 firmware, so to exploit this feature you first need to upgrade your logger firmware. Page 2 of the manual lists the minimum firmware version required for features described in that manual.

Please note that the 12V output is limited to 150mA. If the modem requires more than 150mA you should consider using the RELAY from an external supply as an alternative. The RELAY is a latching unit so maintains state through SLEEP mode.
