Switch bounce

Do I have to worry about switch bounce when using the counters in the DT80?

Thanks,

Good morning Mike,

Are you connecting to the Digital inputs (1D to 8D)and reading them as a counter or are you connecting to the high speed counters? (1C to 4C)

If you are looking at a contact closure connected to Digital channels 1 to 4 then there is already a debounce circuit so it should not be a problem. The High Speed Counters will count bounces if the input isn't clean.

Cheers,
Roger
