Don't want clicking sound during sampling

My code:

BEGIN"SEROUT5"
/n/c/u
RA2S
1HV(=1CV,W)
1HV(=2CV,W)
2SERIAL("{ %f[1cv] %f[2cv] I love Agatha }",w)
END

I notice when DT80 is sampling, when the blue light is on, there is a large click click relay like sound. Seems to consume a lot of power. Can this sound be turned off?

Advance thanks.

The sound like a relay is......a relay.

The DT80 uses relays to switch the inputs from the terminals to the circuits that do the measuring. Bonus is the isolation levels and voltage you can input, downside is the sound. If you want to sample analog inputs the DT80 must click, no choice.

Relays are much better than the old solid state mux in the DT50, those things only had to hear the thunder and they would fail, never mind an actual lightning strike.
