No current job

DT80 Series 2 Firmware 7.04 Serial# 086128. Simple program measuring 1 thermocouple 2 wire. Successfully connect to dt80, and download job, but job doesn't show up in display window of DT80. Battery NC 0 mA 6.5V Thermocouple is wired.

I finally got it to work, log, record, etc. Then I built a new program and re-downloaded and the DT80 is saying no current job again. I notice that from 1 program that I recently deleted, it is showing up in the status section of the software, there are errors of a recently used program. I am running firmware 7.04 and attempted to upgrade firmware but no success. Do you have any suggestions?

Good morning Dean,

If there is data or alarms for a job of the same name they they must be deleted before a new job will load. DeLogger will prompt you to delete the existing data but DeTransfer will return an error message

If there is an error in the program you are sending to the logger then the program will not load. DeLogger will have an error message in the Error window to show you where the error occurs. DeTransfer will display the error in the receive window.

It is most unusually for a firmware upgrade not to work. What method are you using to upgrade?

Cheers,
Roger

Roger,

Thanks. I am using Delogger 5 to download the firmware.

You said, If there is data or alarms for a job of the same name they they must be deleted before a new job will load. Yes, I did delete the data, but until I removed the old schedule, (it had a program that is not quite finished yet) that is what prevented me downloading a simple schedule in B.

Schedule A had an error, schedule B didn't, but prevented the B schedule from downloading. Yes, I created a new project, and deleted the old schedule. So the conflict is gone. I'll let you know if it pops up again. I am really excited about utilizing this hardware.

Also, Is it possible to use the touch pad on the DT80, to issue preset commands, i.e. a menu based upon commands sent to the DT80, such as:
Start job 1
Start job 2
Stop job 1, Stop job 2?

My goal is to have the programs downloaded for mobile surveys, but eliminate the use of the laptop for real time monitoring.

Best regard,
Dean

Good afternoon Dean,

Yes you can program the functions to run different jobs. Copy and paste this into the USER channel type in the immediate schedule
Function1="Run Job1"{H runjob"job1"}
Function2="Run Job2"{H runjob"job2"}
Function3="Run Job3"{H runjob"job3"}

Cheers,
Roger
