Alarm log

Hi,

I am programming DT85 series 2 dataTaker using DeLogger 5. My purpose is to log the change of state of some 80 inputs.I use CEM20 along with DT85 and use analog state inputs.

I don't need a continuous log, I only need logging when the inputs state changes.I use the alarms on all the channels, assign alarm numbers and set point 1 with conditional test as greater than or equal to set point.

Using Delogger or Detransfer I can download the alarm details. But I don't want to connect a PC always with dataTaker. I am using USB drive to unload the data and viewed with Deview program or with .dbd to .csv.

I copy the file data_a.dbd to USB then view it in Deview.IS alarm details also stored in data_a.dbd? Is it can read using Deview? Is there any other logic I can use for my purpose? waiting for your valuable commands.

Thanks in advance.

Good afternoon sanind_85

The alarm log is part of the dbd file. I think the best solution for you is to use a command line utility called Dump_DBD to extract the alarm files from you data.

Cheers,
Roger

Hi Roger,

I already tried the DUMB_DBD. It's not showing the alarm details, shows the data log only. I am sending a mail with the file I unload from dataTaker.

Good morning sanid_85,

Did you use the command line switches to unpack the alarm log -a ?

Cheers,
Roger
