Good afternoon pah8000,

It is telling you that the device is not a dataTaker. This is usually caused by not having the correct drivers or the correct virtual comms port.

I am still waiting on engineering to confirm the testing status of DeLogger5 on the different versions of Windows 7.

Cheers,
Roger

I have encountered the same issue with DT80 when using Win7 x64. Newest FTDI driver has been already installed since i use other development applications. There is no problem with them. I just believe that DeLogger is unable to fully handle an new version of Windows.

Workaround when using Win7 x64 is use to DeLogger with XP Mode (starter and home versions of Win7 are not supported) or using other virtual machine like VMWare.

Good morning All,

DeLogger is a 32 bit application so it looks like you will have to run a 32 bit emulation to get it to work.

Cheers,
Roger

Dear Roger, this is kinda off topic, but anyway.

What has happened to DeView and DeLogger programs on DT website? DeLogger link was available two days ago with an error message (invalid redirection). Now both of these software mentioned before are not available to download (not even links available).

I got my self serious problem with my client. I had to look under my Windows directory of temporary .msi installation files to deliver newest versions of the programs to the client. Inconvenient indeed smile

BTW: USB-memory sticks with compatible FAT16 are nowadays pretty hard to find for ease data collect from DT80. Larger sticks than 1 or 2 GB can be manipulated to be compatible of DT80, but that ain't user friendly operation and if the client re-format the stick then it will be incompatible to the logger. Larger stick capacity support would be nice.

Good afternoon bladE_666,

Can you please contact me through support@datataker.com.au?

About the USB memory stick, DT80 uses either FAT16 or FAT32 depending on the size of the memory device.

When using USB memory devices you should have DT80 format them first. Most USB devices are configures for the maximum storage but DT80 will format the device for best speed.

To format the USB device put the USB device in the DT80 then send the command FORMAT"A:" The DT80 will then choose the best format for the size of the USB memory device.

Cheers,
Roger
