Ethernet connection lost when modem get dialled

Hi guys,

I have a DT80 onsite permanently connected via Ethernet to a laptop running Delogger 5. The laptop is just showing the chart and the trend of a process over a couple of hours.

Whenever I access DT80 via a dial in modem, Ethernet connection drops out, and it needs to be manually reconnected by me which requires a site visit. Is this a normal occurrence or am I missing something in not redirecting or forcing the connection back to the Ethernet once the modem hangs up?

Thanks,
Geoff

Good afternoon Geoff,

If Ethernet drops out you should be able to connect from DeLogger and re-establish communications. DT80 can have Ethernet connections and the serial port at the same time and you should not force the connection. There is probably something else happening here.

What version of firmware is the DT80 running?

Cheers,
Roger
