Connecting load cell with dataTaker

Hi All,

We have dataTakers DT615 and DT80G. We are trying to connect 1000 ton load cell with these dataTakers. For that we used Bridge channel type with config 15 and span also (like mentioned in manual and video tutorial).

But the readings are not reliable. readings are changing. Not stable. If anyone knew to solve this problem. Please reply to me.

Thank you
Amalan

Dear Amalan,

Can you be more specific, I mean what is the amount of variation on the measure that you are getting from the loggers? Are you having troubles using both loggers, DT615 and DT80G? What are the spec. of sensor?

Let us know, regards.

Good morning amalan,

Teo is quite correct is asking about the noise:

  1. What is the fluctuation you are getting?
  2. What is the fluctuation you are expecting?
  3. What is the manufacturers specified accuracy?

If your load cell has an output of 2 mV/V (2000 PPM) then 1 PPM will represent 1/2 ton. As you can expect a few PPM noise then you will see several ton variation.

Cheers,
Roger
