From this forum, I got a tip on using Cybertec 1000 as the GPRS modem to FTP data from DT80. Until now I am very happy with the issue free interfacing.

Now I am looking for a satellite modem to interface with DT80. Anybody interfaced DT80 with satellite modem before? What satellite modem you used?

If you are still looking for a satellite solution. Have a look at the Cybertec Series 9000. Same interface as the Cybertec 1000, see http://cybertec.com.au/S9000.php

Uses Thuraya Satellite network which has coverage over most of Asia

Both using Inmarsat satellite and run on DT 82E,
