Hi,

I have a WXT520 connected to digital channel 7 as an SDI 12 sensor on a DT85. Polling the unit is fine and i get results, but i do not seem to be able to achieve any response even to the most basic commands using SDI12SEND.

Is there a specific parameter or setting that needs attention to allow this? I have tried: 1RELAY=1 // powers the WXT520 SDI12SEND 7 "0I!" Results in nothing I have also tried other commands based on the sensors manual, but alas, nothing.

If on site I can connect the USB system to WXT520, and that works fine, but i can connect to DT85 remotely, and was hoping to be able to command and program WXT through the DT85. Any pointers would be gratefully received.

What error message do you get? Check you have the correct sensor address, you might want to try sending SDI12SEND 7 "1I!" SDI12SEND 7 "2I!" SDI12SEND 7 "3I!" etc through the address range to see if you can find it.

Setting P56=2 will turn on the SDI-12 diagnostics which might give us some clues.try running your code with P56 on and then run your SDI12SEND commands.

Hi Roger,

We had been getting good data from most channels on the SDI12 WXT520 so we knew it worked and was communicating. It was a settings value. I was receiving nothing for SDI12SEND, however, having you suggest P56=2 seems to have resulted in the responses being returned.
