Can DT80 be read by SCADA via RS485? AO?

DT80 read by SCADA via RS485 polling: I am thinking of having DT80 getting data via RS422 from a multi parameter weather station.

And then having a SCADA interrogating DT80 channel values via RS485 polling. Thus DT80 have to be assigned with a unique RS485 address so the SCADA can differentiate between the DT80 among other devices in the RS485 network. Is this possible?

DT80 read by SCADA via modbus: If I am not wrong, the above is implementable. DT80 six channel 4-20mA analog outputs: From the manual seem like DT80 doesn't have analog output? I am thinking of getting a weather station multi parameter data via RS422, and then output the data from DT80 via six 4-20mA analog outputs if possible.

Advance thanks.

Good morning Orange,

Yes DT80 is a Modbus slave device and can be polled by SCADA systems. The channel variables can be mapped to the Modbus registers. Please drop me an email and I'll send you an advanced training document on the topic.

DT80 does not have any analog outputs but as DT80 can also be a Modbus master device (And at the same time as bing a slave on a different network) you could use a Modbus analog output module.

Cheers,
Roger

Dear Orange,

We used successfully this module with DT80 for the analogue out purpose:

installed into an Adam-5000/485 controller:

Other solution from the same supplier exits without the need of the controller:
