I have a DT80 that I have been using to take voltage measurements. I set the polling rate to be 5 milliseconds. For about a week or so, I had been able to collect my data at that rate.

Since then, however, it has been collecting at a slower rate. I didn't notice anything odd in my set-up between the period of good rate and the period of bad. I've also tried a factory reset with no luck. Do you have a guess as to what may have caused this and what I can do to fix it?

Good morning Lisa,

While the program builder will allow you to select a 5 millisecond time interval DT80 is not able to sample at that speed. About the best I have been able to get is about 30 Hz but there is more to the sampling speed than the sample rate.

Logging data will slow down the sample speed due to the write speed of data to the internal drive. Also the logger will slow down if you access the web services etc. You must remember DT80 was never designed for high speed sampling.
