Using internal variables passing data

Is it possible to use an internal variable for passing data?
Example:

Profile user site = 2$
(contents of 2$ is a string "My Site" )

Hi Friedrich,

There are some limitation regarding profile and string variables in dataTaker:

You can't define profile setting through variables.
Unlike channel variables, you can't reuse string variable in other part of the program after declaration.
