I am new to these loggers and have aquired a DT85G series 2. I am in the initial setup stage and can not get communication with the logger via USB or any other connection using dex-2. I am able to connect via the transfer terminal. I have the latest firmware installed and have DTusb as well. I am not sure what I am missing as I can see both connections in the COM ports and universal serial bus connections. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you configured the IP address and port in the CONNECTIVITY window? You can check the IP address of the logger using DTusb. The port of dataTaker is 80.

Rudy was able to help me out and I have connection now. Port 80 via usb is blocked through TCP and was using port 81. I have since applied a rule in the security setting to allow port 80 and all is good for now. Thanks for the help.
