FTP Server behind a NAT router

Hi,
we run the DT80 behind a NAT router and want to access it via FTP. As our FTP client uses passive FTP, the router has IP forwarding for port 21 and port range 1024-5000.
Unfortunately it doesn't work. To see what happens I have set P56=8
Here I could see, that after login the command for passive mode is received, that will be answered by the logger with its internal IP address and a port number. This can not work as the FTP client can not connect to this IP.

Is there any possibility to let the FTP server send its external IP instead?

Regards
Juergen

Hi Juergen,

Did you enable DHCP setting in your router? Is yes there is a possibility the logger get different IP address than the previously set in port forwarding.

You can try to check whether port forwarding will work or not using port 7700 and DeTransfer, if you can communicate with the logger then enabling port 21 should do the same.

Is it possible for you to post DHCP and port forwarding setting in your router? But please make sure to remove any critical information.

Best regards,
Rudy Gunawan
