DT85 external logging indicator light

Hello fellow data taker users.

This is my first post, so hopefully I can find some answers to my question.

I have multiple datataker DT85's + CEMs being used for a laboratory.

Since upgrading to the DEX v2.0 software I am currently having numerous issues, the main one being able to quickly view which DT is recording. I currently have to check by using the command function to see if the DT is the running schedule and recording.

I've made a simple light circuit running off the A - B relay incorporated into my start schedule, it works to turn on the relay but when putting the DT in hold mode I want the light to turn off as it is not recording data.

How can I do this?

Hi Actinide,

You can add the relay channel to your schedule. Still, you have to declare it in the manual channel because there is no template for the relay channel; if you want to lock the relay channels into the dataTaker condition, whether GO or HALT, it is not possible.

However, you can try to use RELAY=1 at the start of a schedule and RELAY=0 at the end of the schedule, so the light will be ON when the logger reads the sensor. Please note the interval might be only a few seconds (or even less) depending on the number of your channels.
