Hi all,

I can retrieve the DATA_A.DXD file via ftp however my application requires that this file only contains one line of data (the file will be retrieved every logging cycle, 1/min).

To do this I would like to delete this file after I have retrieved it via ftp. I have tried the ftp delete command however I get an IO error. Is there a way to forcibly delete the file via ftp?

Hi,

I am using a DT800 connected with Ethernet to a PC. I do use very high sample rate with high channel count in an automated application which generates great amounts of data.

I am speaking of 10+ GB. I am forced to do periodical downloads of data from the DT800 into the controlling PC, but unloading times are extremely high for my needs, even if I split the data unloading.

Is th

I can't find histogram channel option included in Statistical part, where the others (ave, max, min, etc.) all will be founded. Where is Histogram? somebody helps me?

Hi!

I'm presently learning to use the instructions on pages 113 to 117 of the DeLogger Manual. I can't get any response from my DT800 when typing the PROFILE Commands like:

PROFILE"PARAMETERS","P11"="60"
PROFILE"PARAMETERS","P11"
TYPE"B:\\INI\\USER.INI"
I just discovered that you must be in Replay Format in the Text Window to see the response from the DT800. I wanted to let the user o

Hi all,

I have currently have the following setup connected over Ethernet: 4 x DT800s 1 x Laptop running Delogger Pro 4 (+ Detransfer etc).

What I would like to do is save a text file in ASCII format on the laptop every time the dataTakers update (currently 1 min interval). 4 text files is ok if necessary. This text file would then be used as input data for another application.

Hi all.

This forums worth to spend time to learn by the experience of other users. I want to log data from sensors like flow meters and pressure transducers that will have to work on batteries (24 VDC).

So to save my batteries life, I want to sent a command to a Digital Output of the DT800, then wait for a couple of seconds to let the sensors stabilize and the log the measurements and g

Hi!

I'm trying to figure out how to use a 1 GB compact Flash with my DT800. After I did a clear and reformat of the Compact Flash Card, when I go in the Status menu, Delogger tells me that there is 524800 kB used and 482160 kB Free.

The bar graph if at 100%. What causes the use of 524800 kB in my compact Flash? Is this just that the DT800 can't handle so much large CF Card?

Thanks

I am currently using Delogger 4 version 3 revision 2 and every time I connect to my dt800 it requests to update the firmware.

The firmware is currently version 3.10 and I am trying to upgrade to 4.08. I set up the dt800 as per the release notes ie. delete all jobs, data and format b:.

When I do try and run the update it takes a long time to load the dfx file, then it takes hours to send

I had a DT800 running on test for 24hrs measuring two low voltage inputs of approx 2V. The logger was reading the channels at 10Hz. After 23hrs the logger stopped reading the voltage and simply returned readings such as 0.034.

There was no sign of a voltage spike when the readings were downloaded, suggesting it wasn't damaged by too higher voltage. It now measures bridges, thermocouples corr

Hi,

I am working in a quite complicated application for the DT800 which involves fast measurement schedules altogether with outputting through the digital port and analog voltage output.

Right now I am testing the analog voltage output and normally it works well but after a few digital output commands and analog output commands I use to get the 'expression memory full' error. Is there a

It seems every time we lose AC power to the unit, it stops running the program. When I go back online no program has an asterisk next to it so I have to give the runjob command.

I just checked and both batteries are connected. Right now I have P15=2. Is there an easy way to tell it to stop running when AC power is lost but restart once power is restored?

Hi,

A little confused about the burst mode operation. I would like to know if, when in burst mode and working in default operation, ie Switch B enabled, the DT is able to enter another burst schedule while still downloading the data.

Or, need to wait for it to finish the download first? Also, can several burst be run one after another (as long as the memory is not overwritten, I suppose

Hi everyone,

I've been searching the DT800 manual, and I cannot find any reference to an actual time for battery operation. How long can I operate the DT800 after having charged it for at least 8 hours?

Right now, I have three type T thermocouples and an orientation sensor using a serial connection. I would like a basic idea on how long I can run the DataTaker. Also, yesterday, our DT80

Hi,

I was reading the manual about thermocouples. It mentioned ground loops, so I'm curious if one is measuring three thermocouples would the negative (-) terminals be commonly connected to each to maintain a reference point between the three thermocouples?

This is in reference to type T unshielded thermocouples.

Thanks!

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the DT800 world. I wanted to verify our DT800's operation, so I decided to follow Omega's short circuit test. I am using Analog Channel 1, 2, and 3 and I've shorted the inputs.

The negative terminals of the input are common to each other. I then loaded a program to take a reading for all three channels at a 500ms interval. I set the program to give me temperat

With the DT800, the manual states that when creating a Current Excitation option for a channel you should not exceed 20 mA

However, when you create such a channel in DeLogger, the default for the current excitation is 1000. Am I missing something obvious here ?

I am trying to setup a DT800 for a service engineer to use. The best way I can achieve this is to use activX in an Excel spread sheet I am using burst mode to collect data.

The problem I have is that it is very difficult to connect to the logger when in Burst mode. Using activX in Excel is impossible. Is there anyway (i.e a small program that could be run) that I can send a halt command to t

I don't know the true meaning of gain lock. For example , when the amplitude of signal is 2V, what is the effect when using GL1V?

Thank you

Dear Roger,

I find histogram channel option included in statistical. But I can not find in software Delogger, what is the problem? Besides, I want to measure temperature using PT100, but in Delogger, PT100 is not included, only PT385 and PT392.

Therefore, I have to program using Detransfer, am I right?

Dear Roger,

On page 51 of DT800 user's manual , It enumerates the sampling speeds for each channel, when one channel is sampled as voltage(NC)and voltage(corrected), there is no much difference. But when channels sampled simultaneously becomes 5, great changes take place.

Could you explain the reason? Besides, as for voltage(VNC), the sampling speeds between 1 channel and 5 channels are

Dear Roger,

I am puzzled when I read the section"Data Storage Capacity-Readings" on page 78 of DT800 user's manual.

It says when the schedule contains one channel, the readings per MB of DT800 storage is about 14500, while 2, the readings is 25800. Could I induce that DT800 storage capacity is improved while the number of channels per schedule increase? If so, Why?

Could you do me

Dear Roger,

I have a problem now. That is, the realtime data can't display in chart window, while they can display correctly in other windows.

Problem comes up as follows, I measure AC volt in normal mode with scan rate of 200HZ, i.e. RA5T,display in chart window is normal, then I change the rate to RA10T.

Then, data couldn't display! I close the project, open it again, but it doesn'

Is there any limitation in the performance of the DT800 if a Compact Flash card is used instead of a PCMCIA ATA card? CF cards seem to be less expensive and easier to obtain.

I realize, of course that a card adapter will be needed but these are only a few bucks each. I had proposed to buy a SanDisk 512MB CF card. Any known problems with this manufacturer? If yes, can anyone kindly recommend

Is it possible to use burst mode to sample thermocouple outputs and when completed have stats option/command return the average value.

I'm interested in logging the returned burst readings, only the average. If so what the schedule look like.
