Hi,
I am trying to record a simple serial string to the serial sensor port at 4800 baud.
I can capture it in hyperterminal, so I know it is outputting correctly, and I am fairly confident the wiring (rx,tx, and gnd) are correct.
When I look at the value in the web interface, it says "20 State" instead of serial data.
Here is the configuration of the serial sensor port as a manual
Hi,
I am having trouble getting the logger to email me data. The manual states that the DT80 only supports email servers that "do not require SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption"
Does this not rule out most email servers? What are the alternatives to using a third party email server?
Here is the code I have written (just keeping things simple to start)
Begin "analog input"

Hello Sir/Mad,
I have a problem about FTP unload data files. Sometime Data is not successfully transferred to the FTP server. There was a problem connecting to the FTP server. When FTP server is connected well again, old data is missed ( it didn't send to FTP server; The data need to be manually recovered by using dEX web interface " retrieve data" function), new data is not also transfered.

Hello everybody,
We use a DT80 V3 for temperature measurement in railway tracks
See attachment, which Parameter setting must I use for display the logged data two digits behind separate point.
And why get we these strange values sometimes (yellow marks)
Thanks

Is it possible to make a firmware backup before the upgrade to a new version?
Dear Sir,
we have one datalogger DT80. it is being used for quite a long time without any issues. recently we are facing communication issues with this system.
after sending the program it starts logging but after 5 to 10 minutes the communication ports get blocked and software hangs. earlier we used delogger 5. recently we up-graded the firmware with 9.18 version firmware. but the problem
Hello All Readers
I would appreciate some guidance on how to set up dEX for the following measurement
Background: measuring the voltage from a wind turbine output which, is vague,....comes and goes at random according to the wind. Obviously, don't want to be sampling with the DT80 while the turbine is not outputting a voltage
Voltage input to DT80 is 0-10VDC
Would like to trigger a
See while using full bridge strain gauge we get output (Vout/Vexe)*10^6 ppm as But but actually we select Vexe in logger. If i select 3v for Vexe how to ensure it gives 3V exactly. When i use multimeter to measure Vexe am not getting 3V.. is there any alternate to measure Vexe??
Hi,
I want the time format of the logged data not to have the milisecond. What is the setting that I should do?

I need to measure current flowing through a ckt, where my source voltage is 60V (1A).If i connect a 100 ohm resistor across the measuring terminals when the ckt is live ie when there is a load connected across, the voltage drop across would be of millivolt rage but as soon as the load is removed the whole 60V will appear across the data taker terminals. will this damage the dataTaker ?
Just wondering if the relay flicking each time the logger wakes can be prevented?
I think in time at 1 second sampling this will kill the relay in time?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions
Hey guys,
I'm having an issue with network access. I have my DT80 physically connected to a wireless client (Dlink DAP-1665 in wireless client mode) via the ethernet port. I have manually configured the DT80 with a static IP (and all the other required settings).
I am able to open the dEX Logger software through my browser if I do so within the first minute or two of "power on". I am also

Hi there,
we have a DT82E as weather station data logger, the station has a solar panel , charger controller and a 12V 7Ah battery.
after some electrical failure (we still working on to find the cause of the problem (probably the charger controller)), the datalogger stops and enter in continuously reset loop. after holding the OK/Edit, it enters in bootstrap mode for 15s but after timeout

I have a bunch of transducers I need to monitor, all voltage o.p.
I need to keep 4 of the 5 input channels in independent voltage mode (1V)
This leaves the one channel to which I want to connect 3 voltage inputs using shared terminal mode (ie 1*v, 1+V etc.) all obviously sharing the same ground.
So far so good...
I'm using a 12v PSU to run the DT80 and also to power a couple of 12

I am now trying to set up a USB flash drive that has Oninsert.dxc file on it to read/download newest data to the flash drive.
I cannot seem to get this to work. the flas

I have a DT80 Series 2 that seems to be stuck in a loop where it resets over and over when it is powered on. It has the same symptoms as this thread:
https://datatakerforum.com/index.php?u=/topic/47/
I tried upgrading the firmware as suggested using Detransfer. I downloaded the latest firmware, hold the Edit button to get into boostrap, then select the firmware file to begin the upgrade.

We have a remote DT80 that occasionally has an issue hanging the Ethernet port.
It currently has firmware 9.08, does the watchdog feature of firmware 9.10 (and subsequent firmware) fix this?
We still get data from our analogue side of things, but not from MODBUS.

Hi, I am trying to power the datataker externally using a 12V battery. I hooked it up on the +/- terminals on the side of the datataker, right next to the little BC bridge. It appeared to be working (I had the leads connected correctly) and charging the internal battery. However, one of the leads of the external 12V battery got disconnected and the internal battery was rapidly discharged and dest
dear all
who have the experience about controlling the relay by DT80(DSO)?
i have a DTU in my system, but it consume more power.
so i want to control it when the power voltmeter under 12V.

Hello! I am a newbie to both using the DT80 and Labview. I am currently taking data from a DT80 using Labview, and from my understanding the DT80 is interpreted as a TCP. My question is: is there a way to turn off the relay from Labview via some switch? Even after the data run is stopped, it continues to scan as evidenced by a really annoying clicking sound that turns on when I start the code for

Hello,
I am trying to interface with a vacuum pressure gauge in my lab that uses RS485 2 wire, half duplex to communicate via the DT80. If I am reading the manual correctly, this command should work: '#01RD<Carriage Return>', where the 01 is the RS485 address of the gauge and RD is the command to readout the pressure. So I came up with the following command and plopped it into a manual

Hello!
Edit: First problem solved.
I have a simple question about the DT-80. Will multiple schedules communicating with the same SDI-12 digital channel at different rates interfere with each other, or will DT-80 handle the traffic for me?

Hi,
I am currently trying to use an ultrasonic flow meter to determine flow through a pipe, during this time I would like to record the data using the dataTaker DT80. Currently I have connected the flow meter to the DT80 with a RS232 cable using the host port. I have chosen this port as a manual channel and succeeded in the channel setup. The problem arises when I try to read the data. I hav
