18 months ago I managed to set up a datataker DT85G so that it would measure voltages of up to 3 volts on 12 inputs at 1 minute intervals.
I have another logger to try to do the same thing to and cannot find my documentation.
It took me a week last time to trawl through the manual and work out what I had to do and it pains me to spend another week on this.

We have a DT51 we dusted off. The problem I have is that when you startup the logger there are some default scans, spans and switch settings, if I delete the scans and write new scan, when I restart the logger or cycle the power, the logger defaults back to the "built-in" scan and switches.

Is there a setting or switch where i can stop this from happening?

Does anyone have an example of code (of any language) that handles the communication over the serial port to a DataTaker 5XX (or newer). I'm trying to read and process the ASCII data coming back, using a Wago PLC, and then send commands to open the relays when I need to?

I'm going through the manual "Using the SMSX modem with DT800 range of dataTaker data loggers." When entering and executing the following:

I should be able to send "X" to the logger, and get some data in return. The only thing I get is:

DT80> SINGLEPUSH dataT

While recording CAN SPN data on a Freightliner Cascadia J1939 bus I get expected reading for a while, then the SPN reads 0xFF for a few frames.

After it will read normal for a while then read 0xFF. Does anyone know what causes this? I use the same equipment and program on a Mack truck and the data reads normal all the time.

I have upgraded the firmware of DT81 Series 2 (Sr. No. 086321) to latest version. But when connected to PC, the PC is detecting as USB Serial Converter unlike new DT82E when connected, opens the Explorer and we can do programming using dEX software.

Please give us your inputs to rectify this problem.

We just bought a DT80M and CANGate. To test the CANGate, I put together a one-row schedule in Delogger and downloaded it to the logger.

I am not good at doing the text versions of the program. I want to write a program for 2 units of gill ultrasonic windmaster anemometer, both of them will be using the serial ports.

For one of the ports I can see there is provision on the front panel and the second one as suggested by the manual host ports can be used. My question is with the program builder how do I do this?

Is there any documentation anywhere on the operation and functionality of the OPC server? My OPC client (LabView) crashes whenever I try to browse the items published by the server.

Also, what is the maximum update rate possible. If I set a group rate at <1000msec, I get the message that the sever has forced this to 1000msec.
