Hello,

As an Environmental Source Samplers company we are thinking to use DT85 on multiple CEMS (continuous emission monitoring system). It will be no problem to view the data that DT85 can send to a FTP server( hourly,..). These CEMS will be located in different country in Asia and US. We are working to build an database interface that configure, control, view, report and send reports to reg

Hi,

I'm very new to both dataTaker and LabView, I am trying to connect a DT80 series 2 logger to labview using the DT8x driver, Intermediate level and get outputs from the phase encoder channel (1PE).

I can connect to both dEX web interface through a USB connection and deLogger software through an Ethernet connection as the USB would not work for me and get an output in counts very easil

Good day to you all.

I would like to ask how to do the following:-

I have 3 voltage inputs which will either be 0 or 5 VDC.
I would like to know how to use these inputs to trigger a point on a chart from a PT100 thermistor.

I would also like to ask, is there a switchable output from the DT800 giving 10 VDC output on command and If so how would it be activated?

Hello

We got this device with the intent of being able to monitor and shut down 3 different motors based on temperature.

My concern with the unit was that it only had one relay contact and I have three distinct motors. The distributor assured me that the digital outputs could control Solid State Relays and effect the switching.

I've got it on my desk and I'm issuing state changes to d

reinstalling deload software
running deload from different PC
upgrading DT80 firmware to 9.08
NB I use deload as it saves the schedules to separate csv files, with a header row a

Alas our old reliable DT50 passed away after the power supply suffered an over-voltage incident.

We had regularly gathered data each month still using DeTerminal and an 486DX33 Compaq laptop and with a few changes to the old job program the DT80 is performing well.

There was a command in the old program that I have commented out and after a quick look through the DT50 manual I could no

I am using the CALC function.
I have assigned to a channel but it does not seem to make a difference wether I choose Cv or CV+value

I find myself in need of interfacing with the loggers directly in real time with my own system to read from and instruct the loggers and other hardware.
Based on readings from 1/2 a dozen sensors on the two data takers and some logic in my software I need to set the state of digital ports (which are driving relays) and control other non Datataker equipment and need to bring it all

I stayed up till 3am last night in order to change my DT80 clock back to 2am when daylight savings ended. One mistake I feel I made was not downloading the data I had collected before I changed the clock. Anyway, when I did change the clock & download the data, I noticed the foll

Hi,

I would like to know if there are any ways we can limit people from changing the measurement settings using the web server in DT. Currently, everyone who knows the IP address can go in and change anything they want. What we want to do is, to limit unauthorised people from changing any setting. They can only view the measurements.

we have implemented a DT80 in our system, where we have 14 modbus RS485 slaves.

Main settings are:

Rate of statistical schedule 1 seconds
Sensor port
Modbus mast, 9600bps, 8 databits, 2 stop bits, parity none, mode RS-485, flow control none

Schedule rate 5 seconds (reading modbus and analog channels)

G'Day,

I have an indoor/outdoor thermometer which is no longer working, the probe however is fine. I was wondering if it would be possible to connect this probe up to my DT80s2 & get temperature readings from this sensor? If so, how might I go about connecting this to my logger & code?

I have tried many things from the manual in the 2-wire RTD section, so far without success.

We are using a DT80, which is connected to a Vaisala WXT520 via SDI12

Measurement Time 10 ms
Power requirements 3 VDC @ 12 mA to 15 VDC @ 15 mA
Output 300 - 1250 mV, independent of excitation voltage

Backround: I would like initiate a PPP-connection to a PPP-Server from the DT8X when a alarm is set to high. After that I would like start a data-ftp-transfer or something else (smtp,...) over the TCP-protocol. I have only a PSTN modem connection.

Hi,

I removed the internal 6 V SLA battery from a DT80 Series II. The absence of the battery does not appear to be of concern to the logger!

The Lithium battery also needs attention it appears.

VEXT 18.7 V
VBAT (6V) 6.71 V PASS
IBAT +17 mA PASS
VSYS 7.02 V PASS
VLITH (3.6V) 1.68 V FAIL

Hi dataTakers,

We are adding a new CEM and to an existing logger for probes that are about 50 metres from the logger. Will there be problems with signal loss etc if we make a base the CEM near the probes and make a longer CEM to base connection. ie use only one long CEM to dt80 cable vs long cables for 18 sensors.

Thanks
Tom
