A failed attempt at up grading to version 9 firmware has resulted in the DT80 being stuck in a loop.

The bootloader fails with an error of L6 ( not always ). The bootloader then starts over again. The DT80 will not read the files from the memory stick.

Is there a way of breaking the cycle? How can the memory be re-flashed when the com's have not been configured?

Hi all,

I am setting up our DT80 to communicate with a plant's Citect SCADA system via MODBUS.

The unit is communicating with the system fine, as some values are being displayed while some are not.

We are trying to display 5 different numbers, each assigned to a CV within the DT80.

My question is in regard to the Modbus registers and what determines an input or an output register?

Hello!
I need help solving a problem with my DT80.
This is the situation, i have 1 DT80, 1 router 3G, and they are connected by ethernet.
Now the DT can send email, ftp transfer, but i still can get remote access to the DT.

The Router 3G has DDNS configuration, and using no-ip hostname, i can see it's IP.
And i know that i can connect to the router 3G because when i do it, i see t

Hello!

I have DT82, with internet connection.
I would like to send values of CV to a php page, but i don't know if it's possible for the DT82 to do that.
Does anyone know ?

Hi,

currently put my dt80 at site, and some sites is hard to reach by telco. i'm using dt80 + digi connect wan 3g or dt80M...

sometimes, its hard to get connected or status check failed for using delogger or dt-usb (dexview)

so i'm using hyper terminal if that happen.

can you list down some important commands for hyper terminal that can works with datataker.

etc: stop data,

Hi,

After saving the DEX file to disk, is there any offline software where we can open and edit it? Currently I carry a DT with me, in case I want to make any changes to the DT configuration when not at the site.

Dear DT users/instructors,
I would like to clarify about electrical energy calculation in DT. I have connected voltage and current sensor to the data logger. I would like to calculate the energy consumed. I read the example in the DT manual. In that example, at interval of 20sec, integration (IB) function is used to calculate the energy.

Using this method, it is calculating the are under

Hi,
Normally DT is calibrated until it's input connection terminal. That means the reading is taken at the connection terminal. Is it possible to calibrate the DT with the external wiring. What I am trying to do is to extend the input point. In this case, the external wire resistance is effecting the reading. It is a small effect only, if I want to correct it, is there any way? Often I face this difficulty, when the DT is doing it's operation of data logging, it takes very long time to get connected using the web interface. Probably the DT is to busy to entertain other request.

Is there any way,we can halt/suspend it's operation so that we can get connected using web interface, maybe by using the keypad? Or is there any other way to get around it.

I have a meter which gives pulse output from open collector transistor. I want to connect this to channel 1C (HSC). The problem is the transistor works from 8 to 40VDC only. The 1C internal supply from datataker is 3V only. How can I wire them to work?

Is there a way to make notes at certain points in the data? For example say I am running a system taking data and want to keep taking data while I make a change to the system to see what effects the change has, can I make an annotation somewhere in the datataker file so when I go back an look at the data the point in the data where the change was made is tagged?

Hi,

I noticed in the Release Notes for a recent logger purchased that has the 9.10 firmware installed that a new running average channel option has been implemented. I thought this would be useful, but I can't seem to get it to work.

I created a manual channel in the configuration builder "Configure the logger", and even when I copy verbatim the channel example in the release notes, when

Hi,

I'm having a frustrating issue that the manual explicitly says is possible, unless i'm mis-interpreting the manual.

I have a serial sensor that outputs various NMEA0183 at different times and no particular order, so i'm trying to set up different schedules that are triggered when the respective message header $----- string arrives at the serial sensor port.

here what what I need to do. I have 4 thermocouples they are channels 2,3,5,6. I need to be able to have the datataker decide when the temperature has leveled off on all of them. The way I would do this in a high level language would be to have 4 lists each 5 variables long.

Then each sample would be pushed on to the list and the oldest one dropped off. Then just do a comparison each time to

Hi

I am pretty new to Datatakers and have only used SDI-12 sensors with one output. If you have and SDI-12 sensor with two measurement outputs, say Temp and Humidity, do you have to have a separate register index or register set for each measurement?

Hello

I am attempting to wire the CS616 to the DT80.
I am using the shared channel wiring measuring frequency and applying the polynomial y = k0 + k1 x + k2 x2, where k0 = -0.0663, k1 = -0.0063 and k2 =0.0007 (as per the manuals calibration curve states).

I have the signal in the - , the orange (control/excitation) in the #, the power in the 12 volt output of the logger, the clear and

Hey,

Radiometers due to their measurement method, send negative values during night and during cloudy periods depending on the ambient temperature.
This brings a problem when calculating statistical values, especially during sunrise and sunset.

To overcome this problem I set up an 1S schedule that transforms negative values into 0 and store them into a new CV that will be used in the ho

I run a DT80 series 2 which is connected to a wireless router & recently lost my comms link with my main computer. I'm guessing this is a computer problem however due to aging hardware.

Anyway, I'm also unable to (fully) link up with my much newer laptop. I am able to login to my DT80 via wireless & browse in general but am unable to send commands & receive replies both

The firmware on the DT80 is V9.08 and the probe information says it can be used in continuous mode and uses SDI12 v. 1.3 . I set the probe ID to 1 and hooked it up to D5 (ground in digital ground) and the 12V power. It should return a single string of 3 variables. When I call the probe it retur

I just performed a 'hard reset' on my DT80s2 over an hour ago & now my sensors that require power (via the 12v port) are not working.

I have checked the power status via the '1SSPWR' command & all is good. I have also physically tested the port with a volt meter & got a reading of 11.93V which also seems correct.

I even just tried swapping the green ports over but s
