I am new to these loggers and have aquired a DT85G series 2. I am in the initial setup stage and can not get communication with the logger via USB or any other connection using dex-2. I am able to connect via the transfer terminal. I have the latest firmware installed and have DTusb as well. I am not sure what I am missing as I can see both connections in the COM ports and universal serial bus co

Hi everyone, I´m trying to use a Cangate to communicate with a Steyr tractor. I can use the snoopj command to see all the broadcasted data and that works fine but when I try to use the RQSTJ command to ask the ECU some PGN I didn´t get an answer. I tried also with common PGNs as 61444 for example but nothing. Maybe the ECU is protected? Is there a mandatory set of PGNs the manufactor

Hi,

Recently i notice and read that to be able to see the configuration of your DT80 on the web is to migrate it in DEX2. Does it mean you will not be able to open the web portal since Adobe Flash is already EOL? Besides using DEX2 what other alternative can we use if we want to access the GUI on Web portal as we are accessing the dt80 via internet. Hope for your kind response. Thanks

Good day

I am working with the DT85W Series 4 (V9.22).

I want to create an "internal graph" while the program is running using the following equation:

=345*LOG((8xTime)+1)+Ambient temperature

I think I will be able to create the graph but I do not know how to create "Time" to be a variable.

On the DT500 there was an option to create a channel named "Time Variable". This allow

Hi,

I have been trying to use dex-2 to connect to our DT85Ms. I am using a USB cable straight into the device.

When I try to connect, using the port and IP address from DtUSB, it will not find the device. Looking at the code found in the "Development Tools", it keeps throwing back a 403 error. Specifically:

"Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (Forbi

We have to do auto shunt calibration process through program.
For example,
If we have Strain-1, then after offset removing process as we connect the 17134 Ohm or 174650 Ohm then strain value must come as 10000 or 1000 macrostrain, but unfortunately there again some offset for individual channel offset id differ from each other, So we want to remove this offset ,
Please suggest and suppor

Hello,

is it possible to use the dEX2.0 software together with the dEX webversion? Since we use the software, the webversion stays empty.

We use text-based programmes, but the command line interface of the software has a limited amount of characters, so we can't send a complete programme. In the webversion, this worked fine.

Best regards
Paul

Can anyone please give me an idea about how we connect three wire strain gauges to the data taker and what bridge configuration we should follow? I am using a DT85 model data taker.

If anyone can explain the basic things related to this or provide some useful links, it would be a great help as I am very new to data taker.

Thank You.

Hi,

I've been using a DT85 series 4 for logging several 4:20mA signals, and I'm configuring the DT-85 using DEX-2.
the DT85 had displayed all the signal correctly on its display, however when I tried sending a CSV file using FTP, nothing was sent to the FTP server.

her is the DXC

I am monitoring an air conditioning system for occasional trips of the compressor overload. While monitoring all the usual things like temperatures and pressures and compressor current at 30 second intervals, I also want to monitor the three compressor current transducers "as fast as possible" for 2 seconds following the contactor closure. I've looked at scanning fast in the manual (under "Contin

Hi, I use DT80W-S4 to measure analog (4-20mA) Water Level Sensor. When I calculate the mA that DataTaker measure is different from what the sensor output mA. How to make DT measure the same mA value as what sensor output? I did adjust the ohm of the 100ohm resistor but the resistor value only can be input round number.

Hello i habe trouble with my Programm on my DT85M
Actually it is my first Project with a Datataker

I need to read 200 soil moisture sensors.
Each sensor has 4 variables to measure
175 of them are with modbus where i have to recalculate 2 of the values
25 are with SDI12
The Sensors work and i can communicate with all of them.
So i have 1150 values to measure with this sensor

While troubleshooting a strange voltage reading on a DT85 S3, I narrowed it down to this. When I measured the reading outside of a schedule, it measured the voltage correctly. When the same line of code was used in a schedule, it measured the incorrect value.

Actual voltage measured with a Fluke multimeter at the DT85
terminals: 44.7 mV
Voltage manually measured by DT85 in DeTransfer without

Hello i am new with Datataker

I just installed dex 2.1.18 but it does not find my DT85M.
With firefox and the Flash player i can programm and find the Logger, but it works awfully slow.

The logger is connected via USB.
dtUSB shows the loggers IP.

I would be very pleased if somebody can give me a hint what's wrong with my setup.

I use Windows 10 Logger firmware version is 9.2

Hi,

Can the Ethernet Port on the DT85 be used to send a Modbus command to a TCP/IP Modbus Server Device (e.g. Sensor configured as TCP/IP Modbus Server) as well as receive a Modbus command from the TCP/IP Modbus Client Device (e.g. SCADA) simultaneously?

Thanks.
